The Saudi Industrial Property Authority "MODON" revealed a marked rise in the number of new factories in Jeddah Third Industrial City, which exceeded 10% at the end of last year 2017, compared with the number of factories by the end of the previous year 2016. The Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication Department at "Modon", Bandar Al-Toaimi, stated that the number of contracts in Jeddah's Third Industrial City reached 522 contracts.   Al-Toaimi attributed this increase to the great turnout witnessed by investors and industrialists in the city, which was established in 2012 on an area of 80 million square meters, and developed so far 24 million m2. In addition, the increase was caused by the structure of services at Jeddah Third Industrial City and the integrated facilities, and unique attractive environment for investment, as well as its modern design, and the ideal strategic location near the cities of Jeddah and Makkah and its proximity to the first industrial city, and the second industrial city which are linked via a highway. Al-Toaimi pointed that the growth in the number of factories in industrial cities of "Modon" in general, and in particular the Jeddah Industrial City, was based on the strategic plans adopted by "Modon", with the aim of cooperation and involvement of the private sector in all its work. The growth was also based on Modon's aim of achieving the highest international standards in the level of services provided to its industrial partners and investors, in order to achieve strategic objectives, and contribute to the achievement of the National Transformation Plan and the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The Third Industrial City in Jeddah, completed during the past year 2017, the establishment of 32 Ready Factories, and 12 of these had an area of 900 m2, in addition to the establishment of 20 other Ready Factories with an area of 450 m2. In addition, Modon has started the development of the first and second parts of the extension of the industrial city, and completing the development of the first phase of the first part, and completion of more than 67% of the road intersections project link to the city.
