Modon's championship concluded, as it was held at Arkan Sports Center in Riyadh second industrial city, where the championship was attended by 25 companies and factories. The competition witnessed 40 teams of companies and factories' employees, including 12 cricket teams, 10 football teams, 18 basketball teams. The closing ceremony witnessed the honoring of the three winning teams in the presence of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, General Manager Eng. Khalid Al Salem, who expressed his appreciation for Arkan Sports Center and for all those who helped in the success of the championship. He also congratulated the winners in the championship cup in three sports.
Al-Salem said that the championship achieved its objectives, and contributed actively to investing youth time and enhancing their sports talents, in addition to promoting sports activities that aimed at communities and workers in the industrial city in order to allow them to integrate and compete and develop their physical and mental skills, which increase the contribution of "Modon" in community development. This is part of Modon's strategy to empower the industry by activating and enhancing community service and education in sports and other fields, in line with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030.
Modon first sports championship is one of the most important partnerships between the public and the private sectors to create an industrial sports and health environment, and to prosper the industrial city communities and the national industrial sector in general. Arkan Sports expressed its gratitude to the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) for launching Modon first Sports Championship. They also hope to continue this championship annually, targeting employees of companies and factories located in the industrial cities of Riyadh and Al Kharj, as a first step, and then targeting all companies and factories s all over the Kingdom. Believing in the importance of sports competitions in creating a healthy environment, and caring for residents and citizens, and also instilling and consolidating the correct concepts for practicing sports, including work in the spirit of one team and the realization of the correct educational dimension of sports competitions.
