The Swiss Ambassador to the Kingdom Heinrich Schellenberg, accompanied by Deputy Ambassador, Regional Director Swiss trade body and Commercial Attaché at the Embassy, on Monday visited Jeddah 1st. and Jeddah 2nd. Industrial Cities, to be acquainted with the infrastructure of both the cities including the service facilities and a variety of installations. They also visited some specialized factories dedicated in the field of specialized materials and technological equipment.
During the visit, the Swiss Ambassador was briefed on the opportunities available for Swiss companies and businesspersons to enter into strategic partnerships with the Saudi industrial sector, as well as activities and investment opportunities that Swiss expertise can contribute in.
Swiss ambassador was also briefed on the size of industries, national and international projects that “MODON” has attracted in Jeddah 1st. and 2nd. Industrial Cities, as well as services and infrastructure development stages.
Jeddah 1st. and 2nd. Industrial Cities have gained particular importance due to their strategic location, and their proximity to the Jeddah Islamic Port; in addition to embracing many local and international leading industrial projects, as well as due to availability of all basic services, such as road networks, electricity services, communications services, water services, sanitation, residential buildings and commercial centers, along with other essential services.
