Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Industrial Property Authority “MODON”, Eng. Khalid bin Abdul Aziz Al-Faleh, chaired meeting (48) of the Board of Directors of "MODON" at its fifth session, which was held in Riyadh, wherein the Board approved the appointment of Eng. Khaled Bin Mohammed Al Salem as Director General of “MODON”.

During the meeting, the Board of Directors discussed the most important issues related to the progress of work in “MODON” and took necessary guidance. It also discussed a number of topics on its agenda, the latest being developments and advancements related to the ongoing work in the industrial cities and the achievements accomplished, as well as ways for the development of “MODON” products such as Ready Factories, MODON Oases and developed industrial lands.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board honored the members of the Board on the occasion of the end of their session. He expressed his great appreciation for their constructive efforts in the development and growth of “MODON” and their innumerable efforts, which contributed to achieving further development and progress in completing the National Transition Plan 2020 projects, for the realization of Saudi Vision 2030.

Khalid Al-Salem holds a B. Sc in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Thunderbird University in the United States. Al-Salem is considered one of the executive leaders who has contributed to many achievements. He has more than 22 years of experience in the field of industrial development and research and development. He has held many executive leadership positions; the last of which was the President of the National Program for the Development of Industrial Clusters. He also worked in the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), where he participated in many tasks related to research and technology development, initial operation of factories, and was responsible for establishing research and development institutions for chemicals and polymers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, India and China.
