Under the patronage and attendance of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al Faisal, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Region, and The Director General of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones “MODON”, Engineer Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Salem, signed memorandum of understanding with the undersecretary of the Emirate of Makkah Region, Supervisor of the Integration Development Center, Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Faleh, to consolidate cooperation between the two parties and to benefit from the investment opportunities in the industrial cities of MODON in the region. Eng. Khalid Al Salem paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal for signing the MoU., stating that it comes in the context of strengthening MODON partnerships with the government and private sectors in order  to establish an investment environment adapted to the plan of enabling the industry locally, in order to serve the objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030 in the transition to an industrial state, it adopts a diversified knowledge-based economy, localization of domestic and international investments.
He pointed out that the memorandum of understanding aims to enhance cooperation between the parties to support the needs of "MODON" in the infrastructure, and the development of local content in the services and products of industrial cities and technical areas in Makkah Al Mukarramah. He also said that experiences will be exchanged in planning and studies between the two parties under the memorandum of understanding, and stimulating and developing the entrepreneurial environment, providing job opportunities for Saudi youth in industrial cities and technology zones, and developing the competitive advantage of the region in various sectors.  Al-Salem said that an executive committee will be formed to include members from two parties to oversee the follow-up of the provisions of the memorandum and to prepare continuous reports on the progress of implementation.
