Engineer Saleh Al-Rasheed, Director General of Modon, inaugurated a number of services projects in Riyadh 2nd industrial city, which included a branch of Alawwal Bank (formerly SHB) and a branch of Alinma Bank, bringing the number of existing banks in Riyadh 2nd industrial City to 6 banks, serving a wide range of industrial workers. The inauguration also included "Family Garden", one of the largest hospitality and catering centers in the city, which includes a newly constructed restaurant, according to the highest quality specifications on an area of 2700 m².
Eng. Al-Rashid speaking at the occasion, said that the opening of such non-industrial projects in the industrial cities is in line with MODON orientations towards transforming the industrial cities to an integrated system of services and facilities, providing the best environmental and sustainable living conditions that make cities fit to live and work, and a place that is distinctive and attractive for investment; stressing MODON desire to develop the industrial cities and provide new and distinct services by attracting private sector investment, to provide high quality services to factory employees, technicians and workers.
The Riyadh 2nd industrial City, supervised by MODON, is among 35 other industrial cities in the Kingdom, where the number of industrial and investment projects amounts to more than 1200 projects, employing more than 120 thousand workers. The Riyadh 2nd industrial city also has a number of distinctive service projects, such as Five-star hotels, shopping malls, restaurants, entertainment areas, government offices, health centers and commercial and sports centers.
