Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON) seeks to promote the humanitarian side of the employees of the existing factories in the industrial cities as part of its community service interest programs. In consideration to the successful experience achieved in Al-Ahsa Industrial City from 2006 to 2009, MODON intends to extend the marathon in the rest of the existing industrial cities in various regions of the Kingdom.

MODON seeks to help the industrial sector of the Kingdom to be competitive internationally. To achieve this, the resources of the Kingdom---its people---must be enlisted. MODON has developed plans to bring youngsters to the industrial cities, to familiarize them with industry and nurture their interest in production and industry in order to develop a strong base of Saudi manufacturing.

One of these plans is a program of school visits to the industrial cities. During the second school semester of 1431H, MODON received more than 120 schools in various industrial cities.

Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON) and Orphans Care Charity Committee (INSAAN) in Riyadh organize an awareness campaign to support orphan care programs. Our True Religion urges us to take care of the orphans and Prophet, peace be upon him said, “I and the sponsor of an orphan in the Paradise are like these two,“ and pointed with his two fingers.

Social Responsibility

MODON prevails upon the factories to participate in social responsibility programs towards a segment of the population who are in dire need of moral and financial support.

The awareness programs that have been supported by MODON in the factories are shown below:

• Orphan sponsorship (SR 3000 per year or SR 250 per month).
• INSAAN Visa card.
• Rehabilitation and employment of widows.
• Summer training.
• Lifetime sponsorship.

MODON is keen to keep the industrial cities environmentally friendly, so it has developed forestation and waste removal projects, established new wastewater treatment plants and contracted with companies to invest in infrastructure for water projects to establish wastewater and industrial water networks, wastewater treatment and provide treated water.

MODON is also concerned with the limitation of environmental violations of some factories and has ordered all the factories to install appropriate filters and work according to the requirements of the environment.

MODON monitors occupational safety and traffic safety through an integrated plan that includes awareness of factories, issuing violations and fines against violators, distributing awareness publications, establishing environment and safety section, appointing observers, activating the role of industrial security patrols for contribution to the reduction of environmental violations and traffic and occupational safety.
