The National Strategy for Industry
The National Strategy for Industry presents both a vision for the growth, development and wealth-creation in the Kingdom, and a roadmap for maximizing the proceeds of its resources, both natural and human. It includes mechanisms for effective management, updated laws and funding.
Strategy Formulation
Detailed analysis of the current industrial situation in the Kingdom and trends in economics and technology from all over the world aid in forming the industrial strategy of the Kingdom. Both public and private-sector industry participated in extensive discussions on the characteristics of the economy, Saudi society, and experiments conducted worldwide in the field of industrial development.
The strategy utilizes the achievement of industry as the Kingdom trends towards a knowledge-based economy, including knowledge gained in the fields of energy and petrochemicals, the strengthening of the innovative and competitive capacities and industrial diversification; leading to a balanced development at the Kingdom’s regional level.
The strategy began with the mission entrusted to the Kingdom at the regional and global levels, and from the national ambition evidenced in the long-term strategy of the national economy through 2025 as well as the Five-Year Development Plans, along with many of the policies and strategies of the departments associated with the industrial development in the Kingdom.
